The "furo" fishing season started in the Haboro area of Nemuro City on February 5th.

About 100 fishermen gathered at the coast near the Hamana Fishing Port, skillfully harvesting sea cucumbers using tools called "zenmai," which are wooden paddles with metal fittings.
